What’s your favorite Southern food?
Let’s see. Fried chicken, shrimp and grits, biscuits slathered with butter, collards and pot likker, and coconut cake. Now I’ve done it. I can hardly concentrate because that list sounds so good. If I could get all those things in one meal I’d be ecstatic! (I suppose I’ve listed all traditional Southern foods, and I bet there are lots more finger-lickin modern adaptations to try.)
Is there anything—other than attend FBS!—that you can’t wait to do in Birmingham?
I can’t wait to eat there! That’s the highlight of going just about anywhere as far as I’m concerned. Look forward to reading some recommendations.
Anything you’re excited about sharing at FoodBlogSouth 2012?
I’m scared that people will think a session on ethics is boring. It’s anything but! I’m expecting a rollicking discussion with lots of thought-provoking content and disagreements. And that’s based on audience participation, not just me going on and on.
